Bayern Munich secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Union Berlin in their rescheduled Bundesliga match on Wednesday, bouncing back from the previous week’s home defeat to Werder Bremen and narrowing the gap to the top to four points.

Originally postponed in December due to heavy snowfall in Munich, the match saw Bayern eager to rectify their 1-0 loss on Sunday. In the early stages, the visitors had to withstand intense pressure. Union keeper Frederik Ronnow made crucial saves, denying Matthijs de Ligt’s header and Dayot Upamecano’s rebound in the seventh minute, and later tipping wide Kingsley Coman’s low shot.

Despite Bayern’s dominance with close to 80 percent possession in the first half, winger Coman narrowly missed putting them in the lead in the 23rd minute, as his effort sailed just wide of the post.

The deadlock was finally broken seconds after the halftime restart. Raphaël Guerreiro capitalized on a rebound from Harry Kane’s shot, which had hit the post and landed in the Portuguese player’s path. Guerreiro’s clinical finish settled the hosts’ nerves and secured the crucial victory.

In 75th minute of the game Nenad Bjelica, Union head coach was involved in heavy altercation almost MMA fight between him and Bayer player Sane. Bjelica got red card in the end but he showed once again his grit and let everyone knows he would not let anyone to frack around and would anyone push him around even if that is Bayern superstar Sane.
Way to go Bjelica.
Respect 👊

1:1 Guerreiro (46′)
